The inclusion of Heroes in HA is another topic altogether, and it has opened up a lot of interesting discussion. We definitely are listening to your thoughts. The difficulty is this: For everyone who says "I hate losing to AI," there's someone who says "I love having Heroes and being able to play PvP with a chance of winning." For everyone who says "The AI is too smart, and causes people to choose AI over real players," there is someone else saying "I'm playing HA for the first time in months because it's easy to form a party now and I don't get dissed for not having XX Rank." Can you see the difficulties here? How do you address so many opinions when many of them directly conflict with others?
The Design Team will continue to look at Heroes' Ascent. Ultimately they may decide to leave it as is, or perhaps they will make some sort of change to party formation. It's far too early to say. There are a lot of constructive and helpful suggestions and comments on all sides, and we appreciate a level of discussion that includes well-expressed input, logical presentation of opinion, even a few facts and figures if you care to give them. Some players are frustrated by this matter, but when you post angrily, you hurt your position, as the angrier posts seldom contain the points that give an argument any merit. I'm not saying "Be nicey-nice!" I'm simply suggesting that you should give us reasons for how you feel, for we are more than willing to accept feedback or comments and truly want to consider all your thoughts on this subject."

QFT, Elitism was the root of this problem with close to over a year of disccussion of how things can be improved such that more players can particitate in HA PVP without being subjected to the effects of Elitism in party formation. In short this was brought about by same players who are complaining how HA now sucks because now anyone can form a group to play with Heros and not recognise their birthright to play in rank 3+/6+/9+ groups or even maybe *grasps* defeat them. If your HA team is L33T and pure PWNAGE, HERO teams should in fact be free frags for fame.
This is also taken into account that now besides seening merely Europe,US and Korea taking Halls all the time, teams from tawian and Japan are slowly becoming more visible. Isnt variety and access for all, Skill not time spend (looking for group that will take you if you are < rank 3) the key factor in Guild Wars?
Overall the Changes to 6 v 6 and inclusion of Heros have all but nid HA Elitism in the butt and put more players back into PvPing again.

I have yet to see anybody complaining about how easy it is to form groups.

It's not about whether or not they're free fame or not. It's about having to play AI over and over. I can make a server in Counter-Strike, fill it with stupid bots, and slaughter them all day, but I don't because that's really boring.

So we should design HA around team formation? Tell you what, lets make HA random so all you have to do is click "enter mission" and you're in! If getting a team together is a problem (which I'll admit, it is), then you need to change the LFG system, not wreck the game.

playing with heroes is occasionally more fun.. the monks never suck =).
made over 200 fame doing it casually when I don't feel like pve'ing, but...
I want it removed desperately. It can be used too viciously.. the build I've been running drops monks to 30-45 DP within the first 80 seconds of engagement, and usually wipes the team within the first 3 minutes of engagement..
I guess if learning how to hit tab until your heroes are targeting different monks while you c+spacebar is learning how to be a good pvper, keep heroes, otherwise ditch plz, thnx.

competitive PVE is all it is now. PvP=People vs. People if there were no fame involved would these heroways still play there? Heroes will be this games downfall.

What polls ? Those from GHall ? That's nice since we know that's the home of all HA'ers. Maybe they should give fame for PvE missions as well, maybe that'll fix the Heroway problem. Let's make a poll !

I totally aggree that HA has become a complete joke.
I have tried this new heroway trend to see what all the fuss is about and to my amazement.. you can get 10% morale boost fighting the zaischen in under 2 sec or even in 0 secs ..
Just send in your hench to do the dirty work , they dont even start the timer.
I mean wots the point of having the first zaischen map there.. TO GET MORALE BOOST... oh plz now every nub can hav a 10% boost ..
And it getting very tiresome to fight heroways every single time.
PVP = PLAYER vs PLAYER...
ANET plz look at whats happning to ur precious GW...

As "smarter" as the Hero NPCs are, oppossed to the "henchies", they were not meant to win and hold Halls.

Only people who disagree with the majority here are couple of PvE farmers that are frustrated because they aren't part of the "L33T" crew and because they can finally win halls when everyone left HA.

I actually had a look at HA last night for the first time in a while
Its silly, even more silly than it was before. Nice fame farming against all these bot teams, but really, its a very odd format now, hardly PVP at all, and the place was empty, never seen it with only one Int district before.

I see no difference really by earning say rank9 using heroes than there was earning it using builds like vimway neither really takes that much thought and can be easily defeated with an organized balanced team. I for one would like the heroes to stay.

And there is no elitism in HA, elitism is something you have no chance of joining, but you ARE able to get r6/9 so it's not really elitism. Think GvG is more elitist...

If you want to eliminate Heroway in HA. Have ranked players take unranked players in and teach them HA.
In the end one territory has to do it if they want to be a dominate favor holder (as areas that stick to heroway will be beaten out by the new influx of players in full player teams from the adapting area)

Yeah since all current ranked players have learned playing this game from other ranked players.
You learn of your mistakes, go in, lose, go in again ffs, I'm sure you'll be able to find a PvP guild after a few weeks if you're not a total moron.
As said before, make/join a grp, put the good players on your list and whisper them to play. If you're not a social person get out, if you're a total moron, I feel sorry for you.
Elitism is NOT a problem in HA, it's the attitude of unranked players since IWAY came out.

O_o I come to play game, not teaching ppl how to play game. Most players learn how to play the game themselves, not having someone baby sitting them ...... How can you expect high rank players to be kindergarden teachers.
And no, i dont know a single r9+ player that care about favour. I have no idea why you are talking about it, this is not pve.

maybe the good ole HA grinders went to enjoy nightfall pve and now are making heroes to adapt. or maybe they dont want to play HA coz they dont want others to see themselves getting pwned in Observer mode by heroway, coz we all know that getting defeated by a team with less # of brain is the most pathetic thing that will happen in a pvp game. or maybe most or all of the people in HA who filled the districts only knew iway, bloodspike, ranger spike, obsidian spike, vimway. or maybe they chose to play GvG now. or maybe they went to TA/RA to get gladiator titles (+5k faction a pop yo). or maybe they quit and are now playing WoW.
